Certification of products and services is carried out for the purpose of:

• Safety Control, it is a state defined by the absence of unauthorised risks related to damage to citizens' life and health, legal entities and individuals' property, federal and municipal property, the environment, life and health of animals and plants.
• Confirmation of customer properties stated by the manufacturers or service providers
• Information of product and services' users for making choice with respect to supplier or service provider

A conformity certificate is executed based on certification results. A conformity certificate is a document certifying compliance of a certification object with regulatory requirements.

In some cases obtaining of a conformity certificate constitutes a requirement for product import into a market and service provision.
