Different certification schemes stipulated in systems of certification of homogeneous products or services are applied in the course of certification. The certification scheme shall be specified by the applicant in the application for certification, but its final selection shall be resolved by the Certification body, which shall notify the applicant thereof (within 15 days at most) in the decision on the application.

Schemes applied in service certification:

According to Scheme 1 the contractor's skill shall be assessed and controlled within inspection control. Scheme 1 shall be applied for works and services whose quality and safety are stipulated by the contractor's skill.

According to Scheme 2 the process of work execution and service provision shall be assessed, the results of works and services shall be audited (tested) and the process of work execution and service provision shall be controlled within inspection control. Scheme 2 shall be applied for works and services whose quality and safety are stipulated by the stability of the process of work execution and service provision.

According to Scheme 3 the production status, including that within inspection control, shall be analyzed, and the results of works and services shall be audited (tested). Scheme 3 shall be applied for analysis of the production status, and audit of the results of works and services.

According to Scheme 4 the organisation (manufacturer), or the contractor, shall be assessed for compliance with the established requirements of standards and other documents. Scheme 4 shall be applied for assessment of the contracting organisation for compliance with the established requirements.

Scheme 5 shall be applied for assessment of the quality system, for audit of the results of potentially hazardous works and services.
