The RDW Type Approval Department guides you through type approval quickly and efficiently. RDW is also the registrative body for all vehicles in the Netherlands. A high level of competence on database management is available for foreign governments.
A reliable link
RDW has been the central link in the vehicle chain since 1949. Under the responsibility of the Dutch government, we participate in the development of international laws and regulations, and we issue EC and/or ECE vehicle approval documents, registering vehicles, driverslicences, environmental data per type, variant and version etc. etc.
Our mission is clear: we aim to be a professional and reliable partner to all the parties in the vehicle chain. Because we take an independent position, are a non-profit organisation and make our expertise available at an early stage, we build bridges between all the parties in the chain.
